Understanding Before Action
Our mission is to help Malaysians develop financial clarity through structured education rather than quick solutions.
Return HomeOur Story
trellissweallthab was established in 2019 by a group of financial educators who recognized a gap in Malaysia's financial literacy landscape. While many programs focused on basic budgeting or promoted specific products, few offered structured education about the full range of financial instruments available to Malaysians.
The name "trellissweallthab" reflects our philosophy. Like a trellis that supports climbing plants as they grow toward the sun, we provide a framework that helps individuals develop their financial understanding at their own pace. We don't push for rapid growth or promise shortcuts. Instead, we offer structured support as you navigate increasingly complex financial decisions.
Our founding team includes former cooperative officers who understand Malaysia's unique cooperative sector, financial analysts who worked with P2P platforms during the industry's early regulatory development, and educators who specialize in scenario-based learning methods. This combination allows us to address topics that general financial education often overlooks.
Based in Melaka, we've served over 800 individuals across Malaysia since our establishment. Our participants include cooperative members seeking to understand their benefits better, professionals considering P2P lending as part of their portfolio, couples planning for major life transitions, and retirees developing contingency plans for uncertain futures.
We operate on a simple principle: informed decisions require understanding, not persuasion. Our services don't recommend specific actions or endorse particular products. We teach you how various financial instruments work, what questions to ask, and how to evaluate options based on your circumstances. After completing a service, you'll have the knowledge and tools to make decisions independently.
Our Approach
Balance Over Promotion
We present opportunities alongside considerations, helping you see the complete picture rather than highlighting only benefits or only risks.
Context Over Generic Advice
We focus on Malaysia-specific financial instruments, regulations, and opportunities rather than importing concepts from other markets.
Education Over Direction
We teach analytical methods and provide evaluation frameworks rather than telling you what specific actions to take.

Financial Education in Malaysia
Malaysia's financial landscape includes instruments that general education programs rarely address. Cooperatives operate under a distinct framework established by Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia, offering savings and lending products with unique governance structures. Understanding how cooperatives differ from banks, how to evaluate cooperative financial health, and how to assess whether membership aligns with personal goals requires specific knowledge about this sector.
Peer-to-peer lending platforms emerged in Malaysia over the past decade, now regulated by the Securities Commission. These platforms connect individuals seeking returns with those seeking funding, creating opportunities and considerations that differ significantly from traditional fixed-income options. Evaluating P2P opportunities requires understanding default rates, recovery mechanisms, platform financial stability, borrower creditworthiness assessment, and the regulatory framework that governs these platforms.
Financial planning often assumes a single predicted future, but realistic planning acknowledges uncertainty. Scenario planning develops multiple possible futures—best case, base case, worst case—and creates trigger-point action plans for each scenario. This approach helps individuals prepare for unemployment, market downturns, health emergencies, property value fluctuations, and other possibilities without betting everything on a single forecast.
trellissweallthab addresses these topics through structured services designed for Malaysian participants. Cooperative and Credit Union Literacy runs over two weeks, introducing cooperative evaluation methods. Peer-to-Peer Lending Awareness spans three weeks, covering both lender and borrower perspectives with real platform data. Financial Scenario Planning extends over eight weeks, developing personal models for multiple possible futures with individual consultation support.
Each service includes practical tools: comparison checklists, evaluation frameworks, risk assessment templates, scenario models, decision trees, and quarterly review formats. These tools enable participants to continue their analysis independently after completing the program. Services focus on teaching methods rather than providing answers, helping individuals develop analytical capabilities they can apply across various financial decisions throughout their lives.
